The rain in Spain falls mainly on the plain, but according to Wikipedia
"Spanish rain does not actually stay mainly in the plains. It falls mainly in the Northern Mountains."
I would agree with that. The Ebro River in Logroño is at least three or four times as wide as a result of heavy winter rains! Winter rains bring snow to the surrounding Cantabrian and La Demanda Mountains and our local ski area of Ezcaray.
Bilbao, as in Museo Guggenheim, has 15 days of rain every month.
